Budapest, the capital city of Hungary Budapest is the capital city of Hungary and also its largest city. The city is divided in two parts by the Danube River. The left bank is called Buda whereas the right bank is called Pest. Many European roads and railway lines lead to Budapest, which makes it an important city in terms of traffic exchange. Budapest is generally not our first choice destination when we are thinking holidays. Contrary to what most of us think, Budapest is an exciting city which can without doubt match the other capitals of Europe. With its architectural wealth, global flair, rich culture and spas, Budapest is a booming metropolis. An interesting fact about Budapest is that is the only capital city in the world which has thermal springs. Indeed approximately 125 springs produce 70 million litres of thermal water a day. The thermal springs are known to have medicinal effects due to their valuable mineral contents. Learn more about Budapest

"we enjoyed or trip from Salzburg to Zurich - we had a first class pass and would thoroughly recommend the extra money - ! But please note the seats we paid to be reserved were not reserved for us on any of our trips ! "
"The trip was fine although the train was very full at the beginning. Later it became more comfortable. Booking the tickets on the net was a little difficult and the English of the site was rather poor. It would help people to find what they need if you asked a native speaker to correct it. Also, it'd be easier and cheaper if the tickets were sent electronically instead of having to pay for the expensive postage. But the service was very good and I appreciated that someone came up to chat on the net when I was having difficulties in booking. Thank you, Csilla Bertha "

"After leaving Prague, we were told that we had to board buses due to construction for part of the track. Train staff did not speak English and we were explained this by another passenger. We boarded buses from 1970, had to get off and reboard another train, then switch cars based on our final destination. Extremely uncomfortable, confusing, and we probably should've been told this before we even left. Lugging a 50lb suitcase on 3 different trains and a bus was not in my travel plans. I would've rented a car if I knew this would happen. "
"very good experience.No issues "
